KYBON® Flexible Graphite Foil
High Temperature furnaces and other similar applications
KYBON® flexible graphite foil and sheet can be used as a Heat Shield or Protective Liner in High Temperature Vacuum Furnaces. The special characteristics of Kybon flexible graphite foil and sheet enable it to work as a highly effective radiant heat barrier. Flexible Graphite also helps evenly distribute heat within the furnace due to anisotropic properties. It acts as a protective shield preventing oxidation of other graphite furnace parts, resulting in longer life and lower operating costs. KYBON® foil comes in various purity levels with Ultra High Purity providing the best protection against contamination. In furnaces KYBON® foil is also used as a release liner or as heat spreaders on heating elements.
